Revamp: Week 03
Finished the first build section (Week 03) of the Revamp
Tactical Barbell
Moved up to 3x3 at 90% 1RM. It was daunting the first day, but … Surprisingly easy? No soreness. No struggling to get the reps in. The approach of planning every workout, setting the maximum work per day, and simply doing the work helps reign in my natural desire to push.
Running
Yeah…. Running sucked a little this week. A technical issue Tuesday morning ate the time for the run. The long run was the morning after a night of rain. It started humid and grew warm. I’ve also put a little weight on, making efforts harder. I’m sure this is a natural effect of routine lifting and exercise, mild inflammation and water retention.
Diet
This is starting to level out. Work and life are more routine now, giving me time to focus on properly eating, especially when hungry. And I’ve been able to get down to about 2500-2700 calories a day (estimated). That should provide a slight calorie deficit to help drop some weight. Overall goal is to get under 180# by the end of the block. Anything below 178# is lagniappe. I’m also expecting to shed a little during Week 04. It’s a recovery/down week, time to realize some of the gains.
