Revamp: Week 01
Not much to report. Week 01 of Revamp went fine. Number One goal was to do the workouts.
Tactical Barbell (TB)
The first two TB workouts went long, and I had no confidence in the pull-up. On the third, I realized the squat and pull-up could be combined into a superset, cutting the workout by 20’sh minutes. To focus on technique pull-up technique and ‘cause I’m currently a bit hefty, I added an exercise band as negative resistance to acheive the correct number of pull-ups. Obviously, as strenth builds, the exercise band’s resistance will shrink with the goal of acheiving non-assisted reps.
Running
Slow. So slow. The long run was a beautiful day. While planning the revamp, I had a conversation with an AI. It explained, in detail, the long term changes which occur with aerobic base training. The response was cited, and laid out week-to-week the adaptations, such as the increase of citrate synthase, mitochondrial biogenisis, and capillarization.
